To avoid this, the government has already taken many measures. But now the government has started a new initiative to make every citizen of India aware about cyber crime.

In fact, the Department of Telecommunications has ordered telecom companies to play cyber crime awareness caller tune to telecom consumers eight to 10 times a day for three months. According to the copy of the order sent to telecom companies, caller-tune will be provided by the Indian Cyber ​​Crime Coordination Center (I4C), a cyber crime unit under the Home Ministry. The thing to note is that the government has issued this order on December 18.

Public is being made aware about cyber crime through caller-tune campaign

According to the order, “It has been decided to play caller-tune through pre-call announcement/ring back tone arrangement to make the public aware about cyber crime through caller-tune campaign. The nodal officers of I4C will give it to the telecommunication companies (TSP). A customer may hear the caller-tune about eight to 10 times a day.” In the order, telecommunication companies (TSP) have been asked to immediately act on this order.

“Various caller tunes related to cyber crime will be provided on weekly basis for a period of three months,” the order said. The incidents of financial fraud have increased due to new types of frauds like digital arrest, where cyber criminals impersonate police, judges etc. and dupe victims.
