This system has been called International Incoming Spoofed Call Prevention System, which has been launched by Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Scammers use international calling numbers to fraud people, but that number is given in the format of local Indian numbers. By manipulating the calling line identity, these calls are made to appear as if they are calling from abroad while remaining in the country.

The government said that these spoofed calls are used to commit financial fraud by claiming to be government officials. Whatever information has come out in the case of cyber criminals, it has been said that in this you will be arrested by TRAI officials for disconnecting mobile phones, making fake digital arrests, keeping drugs/narcotics in couriers, being involved in sex racket etc. It is said that there is danger.

What is the benefit of the new system

After the introduction of this new system, it will become easier to identify and block such numbers. Even before this, scammers have defrauded people. According to the government, this system has identified and blocked about 1.35 crore calls as spoofed calls in the last 24 hours, which is 90% of incoming international calls.
