Government strict on JSSC-CGL exam, internet will be closed from 8 am to 1:30 pm on 21-22 September, strict on paper leak

Ranchi: The Hemant Soren government is very strict regarding the JSSC-CGL examination in Jharkhand. The government has announced to shut down internet services to prevent any kind of possible paper leak. According to the government, internet services will be shut down from 8 am to 1.30 pm on September 21-22.

The government directive states that

WHEREAS, there is significant apprehension that anti-social elements or organised groups may misuse the situation and spread rumours through social media attempting to destabilise the examination process; WHEREAS, the Government of Jharkhand has thoroughly evaluated the situation and concluded that, in the interest of conducting a free, fair, and transparent public examination, it is prudent and necessary to mitigate all potential vulnerabilities, and therefore mobile internet, mobile data, and mobile Wi-Fi connectivity shall be temporarily disabled on designated days during the examination hours; WHEREAS, in the interest of conducting a free, fair, and transparent public examination and to prevent any law and order related issues that may impact public safety, I, Vandana Dadel, hereby issue this order.**

The Principal Secretary, Home, Prisons & Disaster Management Department, Government of Jharkhand, Ranchi, under Section 5(2) of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 and under the provisions of the Telecom Services (Public Emergency or Public Safety) Rules, 2017 read with the Temporary Suspension of Telecom Services for Public Emergency or Public Safety (Amendment) Rules, 2020, hereby order that mobile internet, mobile data and mobile Wi-Fi services are temporarily suspended by all mobile service providers in the State of Jharkhand as per the following details:**

 

It is clarified that voice calls and broadband connectivity based on fixed telephone lines will remain operational during the said period. Violation of this order will be punishable under section 223 of the Indian Justice Code, 2023 and relevant provisions of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885
