Governor presented the blueprint of development and security in Jharkhand Assembly
The budget session of Jharkhand Assembly started on Wednesday with the address of Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar. In his address, the Governor presented before the House a detailed description of the government’s achievements, development projects and future plans.
Emphasizing on strengthening law and order, the Governor said that special campaigns are being run to curb cyber crimes. Strict action is being taken against criminals. The safety of all citizens is the first priority of the government. Peacekeeping and development work has gained momentum due to increased activity of security forces in insurgency affected areas.
The establishment of Commercial Pilot Training Center in Dumka was described as an important step in the field of development. Mentioned efforts like expansion of forest area, promotion of tourism, investment in industries, construction of highways and upgradation of rural roads. The state is moving towards rapid progress due to the development of infrastructure.
There is special focus on employment generation by encouraging industries, environmental protection, balanced development and upliftment of youth, farmers and women.
After the address, President Ravindra Nath Mahato presented a condolence motion. Condolences were expressed on the demise of personalities from politics, arts, industry and service sectors. Tributes were paid to those killed in accidents. Proceedings adjourned till 11 am on Thursday.
This session will become an important platform for discussion on issues of development, security and welfare.
