Ayodhya. A big meeting of the Trust was held today regarding the case of embezzlement of money offered in Ram temple. After this meeting, Trust Treasurer Govind Dev Giri Maharaj held a press conference. He started by reciting the mantra and said that this very important meeting has taken place in an extremely extraordinary situation. The biggest sadness is that the situation we have to face is very painful. People did not care about their lives and families for the Ram temple and now we are ashamed and saddened by the theft in it.

Treasurer Govind Dev Giri said that, our job is to maintain complete transparency. We will sit again on July 22, by which time the final report of the SIT will come. Theft is theft, the hidden criminals will be found. SIT is doing its work. Along with this, during the press conference, Govind Dev Giri said that many things are being said regarding the matter and efforts are being made to spread confusion in the society.
He said that allegations are being made that not only the donation boxes but many valuable items have also been stolen. Amidst these allegations, the Trust presented some important items to the media. He said that the Trust has a detailed register of more than 2,800 items. Some of the many items recorded in these were shown in the press conference as evidence. He expressed confidence that the Trust will work with more vigilance and transparency in future.
Now Krishna Mohan will handle the work
Govind Giri Maharaj further said that the resignation of General Secretaries Champat Rai and Anil Mishra from the Ram Temple Trust has been accepted. Also, special invitee member Gopal Rao has also been expelled from the trust. Now Krishna Mohan will handle the work of Champat Rai. At present, it has not been announced who will be the new General Secretary, but in the interim, Krishna Mohan has got the command.

Swami Govind Dev Giri expressed confidence in Champat Rai’s character citing his decades-old relationship with him. He said, I have known Champat Rai ji for the last 32 years. His only mistake was that he trusted those close to him too much. When no one even knew about the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, he was living here and taking this campaign forward. We respect him very much. But it is beyond comprehension how they kept such wrong people with them for so many years and could not realize the conspiracies being hatched against them. In my eyes they are absolutely spotless. They are not criminals, yes they have definitely committed an error of negligence.
