Govinda denies being a part of the cast of 'Bhagam Part 2'
Mumbai Mumbai. Govind has been away from the big screen for the last five years, but reports are coming that he will make a comeback in the sequel of Bhagam Bhag. When the sequel was announced, many reports speculated that veteran actors like Akshay Kumar, Govinda and Paresh Rawal would return. However, it seems the makers have other plans as they have not approached the veteran actor for the sequel, revealed Govinda.
A report in MyDay quoted Govinda as saying that no one approached him for Bhagam Part 2. He said that this is not the first report of doing a sequel, but many reports have claimed that he will also do other sequels of his film including Partner. The actor said, “Nobody has approached me or sat down for discussions for Bhaagam Part 2. There are stories that I am not just doing Bhaagam Part 2, but many other sequels including Partners.”
When asked if he would accept the offer, he replied, “I know sequels are popular today, but one should not go by assumptions, suggestions and popularity. If I If I do a project, I should discuss it thoroughly – from remuneration to the script, my character and the director.”
Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions has purchased the film rights from Shemaroo Entertainment, who is also working on the script. In a statement, he said, “A film as special as Bhagam Bhaag deserves a sequel that is equally special; when the time was right, we decided.” The CEO of Shemaroo Entertainment also expressed his excitement and said, “We are excited to partner with an incredible team to create a film that will continue the legacy of its predecessor by bringing more laughs, fun and entertainment.” Not much is known about the film, but it is reported that the sequel will go on floors in mid-2025.
