Middle East Crisis Impact on Cooking Gas: The Indian government has taken a big decision amid the ongoing war between America, Israel and Iran in the Middle East. The Petroleum Ministry has again extended the time for booking domestic gas cylinders (LPG) by one load. According to information received from sources close to the ministry, now it has been increased from 21 days to 25 days. This decision has been taken regarding black marketing and hoardings.

The government has said that till now there is no shortage of domestic gas or diesel-petrol. The Petroleum Ministry had increased the booking of LPG cylinders from 15 days to 21 days three days ago, but now it has been increased from 21 to 25 days. That means now customers will have to keep a gap of 24 days between two cylinder bookings.

Increase in LPG cylinder prices

Two days ago, the price of domestic LPG cylinder was increased by Rs 60 and the price of commercial cylinder was increased by Rs 114.5 amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia. According to the website of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), a 14.2 kg cylinder of non-subsidized LPG will now be available in Delhi for Rs 913, whereas earlier its price was Rs 853.

Prices increased for the second time in a year

This is the second time in a year that the prices of LPG cylinders have been increased. The price increase has come into effect from March 7. Earlier in April last year, the price was increased by Rs 50. According to the IOC website, non-subsidised LPG now costs Rs 912.50 in Mumbai, Rs 939 in Kolkata and Rs 928.50 in Chennai.

Commercial cylinder also became expensive

The beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme, i.e. more than 10 crore poor people who have got free LPG connections since the scheme was launched in 2016, will continue to get a subsidy of Rs 300 on every 14.2 kg cylinder 12 times in a year.

The price of commercial LPG, used in establishments like hotels and restaurants, has been increased by Rs 114.5 for every 19 kg cylinder. Now its price in Delhi is Rs 1,883. This increase has been made after the price of every 19 kg cylinder was increased by Rs 28 on March 1. this year commercial lpg The rates have increased by Rs 302.50.
