Government Unveils PARIVARTAN Initiative
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has issued the PARIVARTAN guidelines to accelerate the replacement of ageing commercial vehicles with cleaner and more fuel-efficient alternatives. The initiative aims to reduce vehicular pollution, improve road safety and support India’s transition towards sustainable urban transport.
Financial Incentives For Vehicle Owners
Under the scheme, owners of eligible old commercial vehicles will receive multiple incentives for scrapping their vehicles and purchasing new ones. These include:
