Grand inauguration of Mainpat Mahotsav 2026, CM Sai gave a gift of Rs 523 crore to Surguja.
The three-day Mainpat Mahotsav 2026 was inaugurated with much fanfare on Friday in Mainpat in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh. While inaugurating the function, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai congratulated everyone heartily. On this occasion, he announced Rs 1 crore for tourism development of Mainpat and construction of modern bus stand in Sitapur.
CM Sai inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 109 development schemes worth more than Rs 523 crore 20 lakh for Surguja. He said that this festival will become a medium to bring our cultural heritage on the world stage. Local and outside artists will get a golden opportunity to showcase their art.
Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, a resolution has been taken to develop Chhattisgarh. More than 70 lakh women are getting the benefit of Rs 1000 per month from Mahtari Vandan Yojana, which represents a total distribution of more than Rs 15 thousand crore. Salute to the brave soldiers of the area being liberated from Naxalism.
The Tibetan community welcomed with Tashi Shopa dance. CM inspected the stalls and distributed the benefits of the schemes. Cultural programs enthralled the audience.
Tourism Minister Rajesh Aggarwal stressed on the upgradation of the tourism sector under the leadership of the CM. Places like Mainpat are opening doors of employment to the local youth.
MLA Ram Kumar Toppo called it a celebration of culture and nature, while Prabodh Minj welcomed the schemes worth more than Rs 500 crore. These will strengthen the basic facilities.
The festival will prove to be the foundation of Surguja’s bright future.
