Grand inauguration of Speakers Conference of Commonwealth countries
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 28th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of Commonwealth Countries in the Parliament House complex. This important conference was presided over by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. It was attended by 61 Speakers and Presiding Officers from 42 Commonwealth countries around the world, as well as representatives from 4 semi-autonomous parliaments. This conference became a big platform towards strengthening democracy, parliamentary traditions and mutual cooperation.

He said that this is the place where the Constituent Assembly meetings were held in the last phase of independence and the Constitution of India was drafted. Now this historical place Constituent Assembly Has been named, which is dedicated to the democracy of India.
