Grand welcome to PM Modi as he reached Seychelles, folk artists of Kutch spread the colors of Indian culture amid slogans of ‘Modi-Modi’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Seychelles on Saturday on a three-day state visit, where he was welcomed in a very warm and traditional manner. PM Modi, who arrived at the invitation of Seychelles President Dr. Patrick Herminie, will be visiting the island nation from June 27 to 29 and will attend the golden jubilee celebrations of the National Day as the chief guest.
A colorful cultural program was organized at Seychelles International Airport to welcome Prime Minister Modi, in which a glimpse of the cultural heritage of Seychelles and India was seen.
Local artists gave traditional welcome
As soon as the Prime Minister deboarded the plane, local Seychelles artists welcomed him by presenting traditional music and folk dances. This cultural presentation reflected the strong friendship and cultural ties between the two countries.
Folk artists of Kutch won hearts
After the local presentation, Indian folk artists from Kutch region of Gujarat enthralled the audience with their spectacular presentation.
Artists dressed in traditional attire presented energetic folk dances to the beats of drums and other traditional instruments. This glimpse of Indian culture attracted the attention of the people present there.
The welcome venue echoed with slogans of ‘Modi-Modi’
During the program, people from the Indian community and other citizens present raised loud slogans of ‘Modi-Modi’. An atmosphere of enthusiasm was seen in the entire campus and the Prime Minister was warmly welcomed.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Indian community by sharing pictures and experiences of this welcome ceremony on social media platform X.
He wrote that the presentation of folk dance of Kutch during the welcome at the airport in Seychelles was very spectacular. He said that the way Indians living abroad are preserving and carrying forward the culture of different parts of the country is commendable.
Will participate in National Day celebrations
During his three-day visit, Prime Minister Modi will attend the golden jubilee celebrations of the National Day of Seychelles as the chief guest.
Apart from this, he will also hold bilateral talks with President Dr. Patrick Hermini and other senior leaders.
There will be discussion on increasing cooperation in many areas
Discussions are expected to further strengthen the partnership between India and Seychelles in several important areas such as maritime security, development cooperation, digital technology, capacity building, health, education and investment.
Experts believe that this visit of Prime Minister Modi will give new strength to the strategic relations between India and Seychelles in the Indian Ocean region and will also create new opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.
