Talking about Oman, this will be PM Modi’s second visit to this country. India and Oman have a comprehensive strategic partnership, based on age-old friendship, trade relations and strong people-to-people ties. This visit of PM Modi is taking place on the completion of 70 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and after the state visit of His Majesty the Sultan of Oman to India in December 2023.
The visit will present an opportunity for both sides to comprehensively review the bilateral partnership including in the areas of trade, investment, energy, defence, security, technology, agriculture and culture as well as exchange views on issues of regional and global interest.
