Khamenei will reportedly be buried next to his granddaughter, son-in-law, daughter and Mojtaba Khamenei’s wife, Zahra Haddad Adel. All were killed in a US strike on February 28. Many people gathered on the streets of Masad on this day to bid Khamenei a final farewell. The final ceremony will be led by 101-year-old Ayatollah Hossein Nuri Hamedani, one of the Islamic Republic’s most conservative leaders.
