Great start of Under-23 Cricket League at Ambedkar Stadium, Renukoot defeated Mayorpur by 46 runs in the inaugural match.

A grand event of Under-23 Cricket League was organized at the local Ambedkar Stadium on Saturday under the auspices of the District Cricket Association. This competition, organized with the aim of honing the talent of young players, was inaugurated by Naib Tehsildar Rajneesh Yadav, Manish Sood and Ramesh Singh Yadav as chief guests after getting introduced to the players. The first match of the league was played between the teams of Renukoot and Mayurpur.

Myorpur team won the toss and decided to bowl first and invited Renukut to bat. Batting first, Renukut’s team played brilliantly and set a huge target of 231 runs in the stipulated overs. On behalf of the team, Vinay batted explosively and scored 80 runs in just 61 balls.

While chasing the target, Myorpur team struggled but wickets kept falling at regular intervals. For Mayurpur, Pratik Singh played a fighting inning of 54 runs in 47 balls, but the entire team was all out for 184 runs. Renukut made a winning start to the tournament by winning the match by a margin of 46 runs. In bowling, Aniket of Renukoot was the most successful bowler, who took 3 important wickets for 37 runs while bowling with accurate line-length.

Ashish and Abhijeet played the role of umpire in conducting the match smoothly, while Vaiz Khan was present as the scorer. On this occasion, Shishir Sharma, Vivek Malhotra, Imran Ahmed, Satish Yadav, Amarjeet Mitra, Nawab Chaudhary and Mahesh Aggarwal were mainly present on behalf of the District Cricket Association. All the guests encouraged the players and inspired them to play in the spirit of sports.
