Greaves Electric Mobility (GEM), an electric mobility company, has entered the Nepalese market with its international expansion. The company has done this expansion in partnership with STC Auto Solution Private Limited, under which its flagship Electric scooter Ampere Nexus has been launched in Nepal.
The Ampere Nexus is India’s first electric bike, which has entered the Asia Book of Records by completing 70 hairpin turns of the tough Kolli Hills in South India. So this scooter is considered capable for hilly and challenging roads.

Special design for mountain roads
The Ampere Nexus scooter has been designed keeping in mind the rugged roads, temperature changes and traffic conditions of Nepal. This scooter is designed to handle downhills, rough roads, high altitude weather changes and city traffic with ease.
It features an LFP battery, strong torque delivery and a stable ride setup. It offers smooth uphill climbs, smooth acceleration in traffic and better control on various types of roads.
According to the company, the scooter has completed 70 hairpin turns on the Kolli Hills route at 3,900 feet besides conquering Shipki La Pass at 13,200 feet. Hence, its capability has been proven even in difficult geographical conditions.

Convenience of modern features
The Ampere Nexus scooter has a 7 inch TFT touchscreen display. It offers features like full-screen map mirroring, turn-by-turn navigation, distance to next turn and ETA with Nex.io technology.
Apart from this, the scooter offers connected features like call connectivity, real-time vehicle monitoring and music control. Also, with the help of Ampere Connect Companion app, facilities like smart pairing, vehicle tracking, battery health check are available.
Promoting clean mobility
Commenting on the expansion, the company’s MD and CFO Vikas Singh said, Nepal’s mountainous terrain, high consumption and growing EV infrastructure are driving the demand for robust and durable electric vehicles. The Ampere Nexus scooter is designed with that need in mind and will promote clean and sustainable mobility in Nepal.
Meanwhile, the company is also planning to expand to other cities in Nepal in the coming time, and the company intends to contribute to the growth of electric mobility in the long term.
