Ground reality of Sonbhadra Obra Plant-C was checked, investigation committee gave instructions to increase production and safety.

The State Electricity System Investigation Committee made an important visit to Sonbhadra, which is called the Power Capital of Uttar Pradesh, with the aim of strengthening the power system of the state. The team led by Chairman Angad Kumar Singh conducted a thorough inspection of Plant-C of Obra Thermal Power Plant and reviewed the production and safety standards. Instead of relying only on paper figures, the committee went directly inside the plant and saw the ground reality.

The team visited the main machinery block and control room and understood the functioning of the machines. Maintenance of old machines and coordination of new technologies were discussed in detail with the officials. The committee gave clear instructions that there should be no compromise in the production target as well as in the safety of employees and industrial standards. After the inspection, in a high level meeting held in the administrative building, Chief General Manager (CGM) R.K. Future plans were discussed with Aggarwal and senior engineers.

The committee suggested that inclusion of modern technologies is essential to deal with the current challenges. The aim of the state government is to provide uninterrupted electricity to every household. The purpose of this inspection is to remove bottlenecks in production. R.K. Aggarwal, Chief General Manager (CGM) Chairman finally clarified that a detailed report of this inspection will be submitted to the Uttar Pradesh Government. This will outline the needs of the plant, allocation of funds and necessary improvements, so that the Obra plant can illuminate the state to its full potential.
