Gujarat Budget: Arvind Kejriwal strongly attacked the BJP government for ignoring the general public.
Aam Aadmi Party has strongly attacked the budget of Gujarat government. Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that this budget is absolutely negative for the general public. No concrete provisions were made in it for schools, hospitals, roads, farmers, traders, women and youth. He says that Congress is also in alliance with BJP and the public is now looking towards Aam Aadmi Party with hopeful eyes for change. Ignoring the common people in the budget is a symbol of the fact that the Gujarat government is not concerned about the people.
Ignoring the general public in the budget
Arvind Kejriwal said that there is no concrete plan in the budget for education, health, roads, farmers and unemployed youth. He also said that the BJP government does not care what the common man wants. The budget is made only for big businessmen and the rich. In contrast, the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab provided health insurance of Rs 10 lakh to every family, so that even the poor can get treatment in private hospitals.
Example of BJP’s arrogance
Arvind Kejriwal said that BJP leaders believe that the public will not go towards them and they do not need to do anything. The effect of this was that the budget of Gujarat was made only in the interest of those in power and businessmen. The public is disappointed with the alliance of Congress and BJP. He said that this budget is an insult to the public and the public will answer for it in the elections.
Condition of roads, electricity and irrigation
Arvind Kejriwal said that electricity in Gujarat is irregular, roads are bad and irrigation is not sufficient for farmers. He gave the example of the AAP government in Punjab improving the situation of electricity, roads and irrigation. In Punjab, farmers get electricity during the day, roads are better and irrigation facility has increased from 23 percent to 67 percent of the fields.
Public hope and party people
Kejriwal said that AAP leaders come from the common people. Ishudan Gadhvi, Gopal Italia, Chaitra Vasava, Praveen Ram and other leaders are from ordinary families. People flock to listen to them and see hope for change in them. There is confidence among the public that these people can bring true change in Gujarat. Now there is no hope for the leaders of BJP and Congress.
Comment of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann
Bhagwant Mann said that the budget is worth lakhs and crores, but it is of no use to the common people. He cited the example of the AAP government’s model in Punjab, where electricity, education and health facilities improved. He said that in Punjab electricity is available during the day, tube wells are free and 43,000 km of new roads are being built. The money of common people reaches back to the public and not to big businessmen.
improvement in education and health
Mann said that “Schools of Eminence” have been opened in Punjab, teachers are learning new techniques from abroad and facilities in government schools are increasing. In the health sector, Aam Aadmi Clinic and health card worth Rs 10 lakh is being given. He said that through this scheme poor and middle class people get quality education and health facilities.
future and hope
Bhagwant Mann said that the aim of Aam Aadmi Party is to spend public money at the right place. People in Gujarat are expecting change from AAP party. He said that it is necessary to bring change in the country also, so that the common people are empowered and their pain is understood. The aim of the party is to ensure that the problems and economic burden of the common man are reduced and facilities reach every citizen.
