Gujarat defeated Kolkata, Gill played a brilliant innings.
Gujarat Titans (GT) gave a big defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at home by 5 wickets. Batting first, KKR scored 180 runs in 20 overs at the loss of 10 wickets. Chasing the target of 181 runs, Gujarat made a flying start. Thanks to captain Shubman Gill’s explosive innings of 86 runs, Gujarat registered an easy victory against KKR. Shubman Gill played a tremendous inning of 86 runs in 50 balls with the help of 4 sixes and 8 fours.
Gujarat made a great start against Kolkata. There was a partnership of 57 runs for the first wicket between captain Shubhman Gill and Sai Sudarshan. Sudarshan played 16 balls. Scored 22 runs with the help of 2 sixes and one four. On the score of 95 runs, GT got the second blow in the form of Jos Buttler. He contributed 25 runs in 15 balls. Washington Sundar could score only 13 runs on 13 balls.
Captain Shubhman Gill played an inning of 86 runs in 50 balls. Tried to hit a shot on Vaibhav Arora’s ball in 16.6 overs. However, Cameron Green took a brilliant catch near the boundary line.
