Major road accident in Junagadh, Gujarat, 2 passengers died tragically as bus overturned, 15 injured

Junagadh Bus Accident: A tragic accident occurred in Junagadh district of Gujarat. When a bus carrying pilgrims suddenly collided with a Nilgai crossing the road and overturned. Two women died and more than 15 passengers were injured in this accident. This bus was going from Bhavnagar towards Dwarka and Somnath. Local people immediately reached the spot to help the victims.

2 people died

As soon as information about the incident was received, the police team reached the spot and admitted the injured to a nearby hospital. Where he is undergoing treatment. The bodies of those who died in this accident have been sent for postmortem. At present, preliminary investigation by the police has revealed that this accident happened when a Nilgai suddenly started crossing the road.

Bus overturns after colliding with Nilgai

Police said that about 40 people were traveling in the bus from Bhavnagar on pilgrimage to Dwarka and Somnath. Around 3 pm, near Rahij village, a few kilometers away from Mangrol town, suddenly a Nilgai started crossing the road. While trying to save the cow, the driver lost control of the vehicle and during this the bus overturned.

What did the police say?

On this matter, Deputy Superintendent of Police D.V. Kodiyatar said that two women died on the spot, while more than 15 passengers were injured. The injured have been admitted to Junagadh Civil Hospital. Police said that the deceased have not been identified yet.

After this incident, local people immediately rushed to help the victims and informed the authorities. Police said an excavator was used to rescue people trapped inside the overturned bus.
