Gujarat Titans in the final of IPL 2026: In Qualifier-2 of IPL 2026, Gujarat Titans have entered the final by defeating Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets. Now on May 31, Gujarat Titans will play the title match of this season against RCB at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Earlier, RR had set a target of 215 runs for Gujarat. Sai Sudarshan and captain Shubman Gill played important roles in this victory for Gujarat. There was a match-winning partnership of 167 runs in 12.5 overs between these two batsmen for the first wicket. On this score, Sai Sudarshan was out hit wicket on the score of 58. He completed these 58 runs in 32 balls with the help of 8 fours and 1 six.

Historic innings of captain Shubman Gill

In this special victory of Gujarat, captain Shubman Gill batted in a record-breaking style. While chasing runs against RR, he played a century and led the team to victory. He completed his own century after partnering with Sai Sudarshan. Gill faced 53 balls and scored 104 runs with a strike rate of 196 in Mullanpur. His special innings included 15 fours and 3 sixes.

Captain Shubman Gill was out LBW on the ball of Joffra Archer after completing his century. After this Washington Sundar returned to the pavilion after scoring 16 runs in 9 balls. Whereas, Jos Buttler remained unbeaten on 9 runs and Rahul Tewatia remained unbeaten on 17 runs. For RR, Jofra Archer, Nandre Berger and Brijesh Sharma took 1 wicket each.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s lethal innings went in vain

In this match, the biggest innings for Rajasthan was played by 15 year old young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi. He scored 96 runs in 47 balls with the help of 8 fours and 7 sixes. On this score, Suryavanshi got caught by Prasidh Krishna on the ball of Kagiso Rabada.

Apart from Vaibhav, Ravindra Jadeja played another big innings for RR. He took over the team’s innings after Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel. Jadeja played an inning of 45 runs in 35 balls. Apart from this, Donovan Ferreira batted in a stormy manner in the end. He scored unbeaten 38 runs in 11 balls with a strike rate of 345.
