Gujarat Politics: Deputy Speaker of Gujarat Assembly and senior BJP leader Jethabhai Bharwad has resigned from his post. He submitted his resignation to Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary. The reason for resignation is said to be increasing workload. This step of Jethabhai Bharwad has come at a time when major changes are being made at the organizational level in Gujarat BJP and many leaders are being given new responsibilities.

Resignation in the presence of the three top leaders makes this development even more important. Who is Jethabhai?
Jethabhai Bharwad is considered an experienced and influential leader in the politics of Gujarat. He has been elected MLA from Shehra assembly seat of Panchmahal district for five consecutive times. After the 2022 assembly elections, he was made the Deputy Speaker of Gujarat Assembly. Due to his active role in the Assembly and regional hold, he has been considered a reliable leader of the party.

Jethabhai Bharwad has a strong identity in the assembly as well as in the cooperative sector. He is the Chairman of Panchmahal Dairy and has been active in dairy and cooperative related work for a long time.
