Quick guide to the benefits and uses of Gulkand
How is traditional Gulkand made? (Gulkand Recipe)
The method of making Gulkand is based on a completely natural and ‘sun-cooked’ process without burning gas:
For this, fresh petals of pure desi pink rose are cleaned thoroughly.
Now layering rose petals and powdered sugar or string sugar candy is made in a clean glass jar.
Close the lid of this jar and keep it for approx. in direct sunlight for 3 to 4 weeks It is kept for cooking.
Due to the natural heat of the sun, the petals release their juice and together with the sugar candy, they gradually transform into a thick, tasty and aromatic mixture (Gulkand).
