When is Ashadha Gupt Navratri: This year 2026 Ashadh Gupt Navratri is going to start from 15th July and continue till 23rd July. In Sanatan Dharma, special occasions of Gupta Navratri have been mentioned for the worship of Nau-Durga and Dashamahavidya. There are four Navratri’s in a year, out of which two are considered normal and two are considered secret. Navratri falling in the month of Ashadha is also known as Gupt Navratri.

At the same time, worship of 10 Mahavidyas has more importance during Gupt Navratri. During Gupt Navratri, special worship of Maa Kali, Maa Tara, Maa Shodashi, Maa Tripura Sundari, Maa Bhuvaneshwari, Maa Chinnamasta, Maa Tripura Bhairavi, Maa Dhumavati, Maa Baglamukhi, Maa Matangi and Maa Kamla is done.

According to the Panchang, Ghatasthapana for Ashadh Gupt Navratri will be done on 15th July. The auspicious time for this will be from 06:01 am to 10:17 am. Time will be 4 hours 16 minutes for Ghatasthapana.

Ashadh Gupta Navratri There will be a special coincidence of Brahma, Amrit Kaal and Vijay Muhurta on the first day. On this day Brahma Muhurta will be from 4.32 am to 5.16 am. Whereas, Amrit Kaal Muhurta will be from 4 pm to 5.27 pm. The same Vijay Muhurta is valid from 2:34 pm to 3:25 pm.

Ashadh Gupta Navratri Puja Method

During Gupta Navratri, Tantrik and Aghori worship Goddess Durga at midnight. During this, first of all the statue or idol of Maa Durga is installed.

Red vermillion is offered to him. Chunari with golden braid is offered. Puja materials are offered at the feet of the mother. Red flowers are offered to Maa Durga. Durga Chalisa or Durga Saptashati is recited. After the recitation, Aarti of Mata is performed.

Importance of Gupt Navratri

The importance of Gupt Navratri is mainly for internal sadhana, fulfillment of secret desires and achieving Tantric Siddhis. Unlike the normal Navratri, during these nine days, Goddess Durga along with the ten Mahavidyas (like Kali, Tara, Baglamukhi etc.) are worshiped with utmost secrecy.
