How to worship on Guru Purnima?

• If it is possible to become pure in body and mind, then you should go to your Guru’s place or worship the picture or idol of your Guru with full rituals in your home.
• If you are worshiping Guru in your house, then for this, clean the north-east corner, spread a seat on a stool there, place his statue, picture or Charan Paduka and sprinkle holy water on it.
• If your Guru is physically present, then by giving him a proper posture, first wash his feet and wipe them with a clean cloth.
• If your Guru is available, or even his picture is not available, then you should express your devotion through Paduka Puja.
• After purifying the Guru’s idol, Charan Paduka or his feet with pure water, apply tilak with roli, sandalwood, akshat etc. and garland him with fresh flowers.
• After this, offer fruits, sweets etc. to your Guru and recite Guru Mantra or ‘Om Guruve Namah’. Chant the mantra at least once.
• Made from pure desi ghee at the end of puja Aarti with lamp Take off. After this, pray for forgiveness for the mistakes made in Guru Puja and pray for blessings for yourself.
