Agentic AI startup Gushwork has raised $9 Mn (about ₹81 Cr) in its seed round led by Susquehanna Asia VC, with participation from existing investors Lightspeed, B Capital, Seaborne Capital, Beenext, Sparrow Capital, and 2.2 Capital.

Founded by Nayrhit Bhattacharya and Adithya Venkatesh in 2023, Gushwork has built AI agents for marketing that help small and medium businesses boost their inbound lead flows by getting discovered and cited on major AI search engines, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity.

Apart from this, Gushwork offers tools like page creation engine, content management suite, leads dashboard, and analytics. These tools assist businesses in keeping a tap on their lead flow process.

These solutions plug directly into any website and attract both AI agents and human buyers, said cofounder Venkatesh.

The startup plans to deploy the freshly raised capital to accelerate product development, improve accuracy of its agents, and for talent acquisition, with focus on the engineering department. While a majority of its team operates from India, Gushwork also has a presence in the US, which is its largest market in terms of clients.

“We’ve built autonomous AI agents that ensure business’ websites get recommended by AI when their buyers ask questions. This $9M raise and support from an experienced group of investors validates our vision and will help us accelerate our product build and go-to-market velocity,” said Bhattacharya.

Gushwork has three different plans for business – launch, grow, and scale. Starting from $800 per month and going up to $ 2,200 per month, the plans vary based on the needs of the customers.

The startup claims that 80% of its customers start seeing a 500% spike in impressions on their website and 50% increase in inbound lead flow within the first 60 days. Gushwork said it has over 300 businesses as customers and more than 800 on a waitlist.

The funding comes amid rapid advancements in AI and its adoption. A number of Indian startups have emerged over the past few years that are leveraging AI to solve business problems. These startups are also getting a lot of traction from investors, as they look to capitalise on the opportunity which AI provides.

For instance, AI-powered SaaS startup Kris@Work raised $3 Mn in its seed funding round earlier this week to offer an agentic AI-based, end-to-end platform for go-to-market (GTM) teams, including sales, marketing, revenue, and growth, to eliminate the need for multiple SaaS tools.

Similarly, AI-native martech startup Fibr AI raised $5.7 Mn in February to build AI-powered marketing and web experience tools for brands.
