A very shameful case has come to light from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Here a 19 year old student is raped, in which her senior is said to be behind. However, on the complaint of the victim student, the police have registered an FIR in the matter. Police say that CCTV footage and other evidence are being collected, on the basis of which the accused will be arrested.
According to the media agency, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Niranjan Sharma said that the first year student was allegedly sexually assaulted on October 23 and she approached the police the next day. A first year student of a private university in the city has filed a rape complaint, after which they have started an investigation.
Drug mixed in cold drink
The complainant (student) told the police that she was in the university campus. During this time, a third year student took her in the car and gave her something mixed with intoxicants to eat. Citing the complaint, the officer said that after this the senior's boyfriend raped her.
Case registered under various sections including rape
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Niranjan Sharma further said that on the complaint of the victim student, the police have registered a case of rape and criminal conspiracy against the two seniors. The officer said that arrests will be made after investigation. He told that the police is collecting CCTV footage and other evidence.
