Besides, the police was also searching for gym trainer Vimal Soni. Eventually the police caught the accused and detained him and during interrogation, Vimal confessed to killing Ekta Gupta.
Police said that accused Vimal Soni and deceased Ekta Gupta had an immoral relationship for one year. Also, when the accused got married somewhere else, Ekta argued with him. The argument escalated so much that during this the accused punched Ekta. The woman died in that. After this the accused buried his body in the area near the DM residence. But the husband of the deceased woman has rejected the police claim and said that his wife had no relation with anyone.
Meanwhile, the police said that the idea of hiding the dead body after the murder came to accused Vimal from the film Drishyam. After killing the woman, he was thinking how to dispose of the body. Then he remembered how Ajay Devgan hides a dead body in the police station in the movie Singham. After this he buried the body of the woman in the premises near the DM residence, where the accused used to frequent.
Meanwhile, when the police caught Vimal, he first tried to mislead the police. Even after confessing to the crime, he gave wrong information about the place chosen to dispose of the body.
