According to reports, motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire on Hamza outside the office of a news channel in Lahore on Thursday. Hamza was badly injured in this attack, who has been taken to the hospital, where his condition remains very critical. Hamza is the ‘mastermind’ and ideological guru of Lashkar. Aamir Hamza is not an ordinary terrorist, but is the ‘brain’ of Lashkar-e-Taiba who had supported Hafiz Saeed in laying the foundation of the organization. He is considered the strategic brain of the organization. Hamza not only plans terrorist attacks, but is also the ideological guide of Lashkar. He has played a major role in brainwashing the youth and instigating them into the fire of Jihad and raising international funding for the organization. In view of his terrorist activities, America had declared him a ‘global terrorist’ long ago. Lahore was shocked by the rapid firing: the whole story of the attack. According to eyewitnesses and local reports, this incident happened when Amir Hamza was standing outside the office of a news channel located in Lahore. Then suddenly unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle reached there and started firing indiscriminately targeting Hamza. The attackers targeted with such precision that Hamza did not even get a chance to recover. After committing the crime the attackers fled from the spot. This attack on Aamir Hamza has become a big headache for the security and intelligence agencies of Pakistan. It is noteworthy that in the last one year, many top commanders of organizations like Lashkar and Jaish-e-Mohammed within Pakistan have been killed in a similar manner by unknown assailants. Hamza was also fatally attacked last year, after which his security was tightened. Despite this, this open firing has exposed Pakistani claims. There is discussion whether this is mutual rivalry between terrorist groups or a planned ‘targeted killing’. Hamza, the biggest pillar of Lashkar’s propaganda system, wrote many radical books for Lashkar and also edited their publications.
