The release journey of David Dhawan’s upcoming film If you are young then love is therehas taken another unexpected turn, adding more attention around one of Bollywood’s most much awaited family entertainers.
The film, starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde, has already built early buzz through its music and teaser, was set for a key promotional moment this week with a trailer launch event in Mumbai.
But the plan did not go ahead, as the makers cancelled the event due to a technical issue, and the trailer also did not arrive online as expected.
A new date for the release has not been announced yet, leaving fans waiting.
This delay comes at a time when the film has also been facing chatter on social media about whether its story is original. The production team has firmly rejected these claims.
Tips Music issued a statement on Instagram saying,”It has come to our attention that there are discussions in the trade and amongst the public regarding our film, ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ (‘Film’). Tips, Ramesh Taurani, David Dhawan Ji, along with the cast and crew, would like to clarify that the Film is an original story and screenplay and bears no resemblance to any other film.”
The statement also added, “We have poured our hearts into making this Film and sincerely look forward to welcoming audiences to cinemas on June 5 for a fun-filled family experience. SEE YOU AT THE MOVIES.”
The film’s release date itself has already seen multiple changes in recent months, shifting between June and May before returning to June 5.
