Material

  • Raw turmeric – 250 grams (one cup grated)
  • Mustard oil – 100 grams (half cup)
  • Salt – 2 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli – half teaspoon
  • Fenugreek seeds – 2 1/2 tsp coarsely ground
  • Mustard powder – 2 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger powder – 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 2-3 pinches
  • Lemon juice – 250 ml. (1/2 cup)

Recipe (Turmeric Pickle)

1- First of all, wash the raw turmeric thoroughly and then dry it in the sun and clean it by wiping it with a cloth.

2- Now grate it, grated turmeric pickle is easier to eat.

3- Now, after heating the oil well in a pan, cool it a little, add asafoetida, fenugreek, all the spices and grated turmeric and mix well.

4- Now take out the pickle in a vessel, add lemon juice and cover it.

5- After four to five hours, stir with a spoon and now the delicious turmeric pickle is ready.
