Hamas took a big decision, Gaza’s government committee will end, new rules will come into effect from Monday

Hamas has decided to abolish its government committee in Gaza. This decision will come into effect from Monday. The purpose of this step is to bring a new civil administrative body in Gaza, so that the situation there can be improved and the common people can get relief.

According to the information, the ‘Committee for Monitoring Government Activity’ will be dissolved on July 7, 2026. instead of now Gaza Strip Administration Committee (NCAG) will take over the work. This new committee will include professional experts i.e. technocrats, whose leadership will be Ali Shaath do.

Why was this decision taken

This entire change is being done to implement the peace plan prepared by America. Hamas officials have said that they will oust their current government when a professional leadership committee takes over responsibility for Gaza. Some reports suggest this was a strategic move during negotiations, so that they could appear cooperative and buy time.

What will be the responsibility of the new committee?

NCAG will be a civilian body that will handle the day-to-day functioning of Gaza. This will mainly include:

  • maintaining security
  • Resumption of essential services like electricity, water and health
  • fixing the education system
  • Building a society based on peace, democracy and justice

An international body will be created to monitor this new arrangement, the disarmament of Hamas and the deployment of International Security Forces. Board of Peace Has been formed, which is led by US President Donald Trump. Qatar and Türkiye are working as mediators in this entire process.

However, a big problem is that this administration committee was formed around January 2026, but Israeli authorities have prevented its members from entering Gaza. Despite this, NCAG members are holding meetings and preparing to run Gaza.
