The Hanoi-HCMC flight route was again the fourth busiest globally in 2025 with 11.07 million seats, aviation intelligence firm OAG has found.
The route saw a 4% increase in seat numbers from 2024, according to a list the British company released based on seat capacity Tuesday.
The route has been in the top 10 for the last eight years, and fourth last year too.
The average one-way flight on the route cost US$67 this year, down 11% from 2024, according to OAG.
“This route is highly competitive with six carriers operating in 2025,” the company said.
Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet are the biggest operators on the 1,000-km route, with dozens of flights daily.
Newcomer Sun PhuQuoc Airways started flying on the sector in the final quarter of this year.
Bamboo Airways, Pacific Airlines and Vietravel Airlines are the others with services.
