  • On the day of Hanuman Jayanti, take bath in Brahma Muhurta (04:37 AM to 05:23 AM). If not possible, bathing can be done even after sunrise. After this, wear clean clothes and take a pledge to fast and worship.
  • During the puja, first worship Lord Ram, then install the idol or picture of Hanuman ji on the post. Abhishekam with Ganga water and offer them clothes, sacred thread, loincloth and Khadaun.
  • After this, apply Tilak with sandalwood and Akshat and offer flowers, garland, incense sticks and lamps. Offer chola with jasmine oil and vermilion. Then offer laddus, jaggery, black gram, betel leaves etc. and chant mantras.
  • Recite Hanuman Chalisa, Sunderkand or Hanuman Bahuk during the worship. Finally, perform aarti with ghee lamp or camphor and pray to God for the fulfillment of your wishes. Devotees observing fast keep fast throughout the day and keep vigil at night.
