Due to the difference in time zones, the New Year sun rose here about eight and a half hours before India and the celebrations began. Kiribati is a beautiful archipelago made up of several atolls also known as Kiribas.

At the same time, the New Year was welcomed in a very grand manner in New Zealand’s capital Auckland. Despite the rainy season in Auckland, there was no decrease in the enthusiasm of the people and there were huge fireworks in the main centers of the city.
