Happy New Year 2026: The new year 2026 has started from today (January 1). People in India welcomed the New Year with celebration at 12 o’clock in the night. Since Thursday morning, people have been congratulating each other for the beginning of the new year. Meanwhile, President Draupadi Murmu and PM Narendra Modi have greeted all the countrymen for the New Year.

President Draupadi Murmu wrote on social media platform X, “On the joyous occasion of New Year, I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to all Indians in the country and abroad.” Along with this, while issuing a message, he said – “On the joyous occasion of New Year, I extend my hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the Indians living in the country and abroad.”

The President further said, “The New Year is a symbol of new energy and positive changes. It is also an opportunity for introspection and new resolutions. In this New Year, let us further strengthen our commitment towards the country’s development, social harmony and environmental protection. May the year 2026 bring peace, happiness and prosperity in the lives of all of you and provide new energy to our resolve to build a strong and bright India.”

PM Narendra Modi wrote, “Many best wishes to all of you for 2026. We wish that this year brings new hopes, new resolutions and a new confidence for everyone.
