Hardik Pandya is currently representing Baroda in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024. Tte Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made it mandatory for the players to participate in the domestic tournaments when they are not playing for the country.

It is the first time since 2018 that Hardik was a part of domestic match. His brother Krunal Pandya is leading the side in the T20 competition.

In his first contest after a long time, Hardik performed exceptionally well and scored 74 runs off 35 balls. Pandya is the first Indian all-rounder to amass 5000 runs and take 100 wickets in T20 cricket. He has managed 5067 runs and dismissed 180 batters in the shortest format.

Hardik made his T20 debut for Baroda in 2013, and then joined Mumbai Indians after two years. His first T20I match for the Men in Blue was in 2016 and since then he hasn’t looked back.

Hardik’s success has made him a key member of the side. His all-round performances helped the India National Cricket Team in winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the United States of America.

He was recently retained by MI ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction in Saudi Arabia. Hardik will lead the five-time champions in the 18th season of the league.
