During this time, Hardik also spent time with his family and girlfriend Maheeka. The pair came into limelight when they were seen together at the Mumbai airport in October. After that, Hardik openly confessed his relationship by posting pictures of a beach holiday.
After becoming the player of the match in the first T20, Pandya said that Mahika supported him a lot during his recovery.

Before the first T20, Hardik had also expressed his displeasure with the media. Some media channels had made Mahika’s personal pictures and videos viral. He said that this is a violation of privacy and everyone should respect the boundaries.
On his return, Hardik said, “My thinking was that I should return stronger and better than before. Whenever I come out to bat, I feel that people have come to see me. I have believed in myself in difficult times and that has given me more confidence.”
