Baroda team was to play a match against Gujarat on December 4 at the Gymkhana Ground, but before that, thousands of fans started gathering outside and inside the ground during Hardik’s practice session. According to PTI report, this crowd became a challenge in terms of security. Seeing the situation, the organizers immediately decided to shift the match from the Gymkhana Ground to the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. The security arrangements in big stadiums are better and controlled, hence this decision was taken keeping in mind the safety of both players and spectators.

Baroda registered an easy victory

In the match played at the changed venue, Baroda team performed brilliantly and registered a strong victory over Gujarat. Gujarat team was reduced to 73 runs in just 14.1 overs. Baroda bowlers created pressure from the beginning and did not give any batsman a chance to play freely. In reply, Baroda achieved the target in just 6.4 overs at the loss of two wickets. The team batted aggressively from the beginning and maintained its hold on the match.

Hardik’s performance was balanced

Although this match did not become a big show of Hardik Pandya’s batting, but he took one wicket in bowling and scored 10 runs in batting.
