Haryana: 6 Patwaris suspended in Haryana, CM Saini took action
Haryana News: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini continues to take a strict stance on the delay in giving compensation to farmers. In this sequence, on Friday he issued orders to suspend with immediate effect six Patwaris who repeatedly uploaded the same picture of crop loss on the e-compensation portal. The Chief Minister has also given instructions to investigate the matter and has clearly said that if any other officer or employee is found guilty in the investigation, action will be taken against him also.
The Chief Minister also directed the officials to ensure that those farmers who have actually suffered crop loss should be compensated without any delay. He has directed all concerned departments to release compensation within a week, so that the affected farmers can get relief soon.
The suspended patwaris are from Jui Khurd (Bhiwani), Boripur (Kurukshetra), Kalwan (Jind), Jandwala (Fatehabad), Pataudi (Gurugram) and Nimli (Dadri) circles. These employees are accused of wrong reporting as well as uploading the same photo multiple times on the portal, giving rise to apprehensions of misuse of government funds.
CM said that the government’s intention is to provide assistance to every eligible farmer without any discrimination. He directed the officials that the investigation of crop failure should be conducted in a fair and transparent manner and the report should be sent on time. The CM also expressed that crops had been damaged due to excessive rain during monsoon, but wrong reports were sent even in many places where there was no actual damage. Apart from this, cases of duplicate uploading of photos also came to light.
