Haryana: Big action by ACB in Haryana, lineman and clerk arrested red handed while taking bribe

Haryana News: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Rewari, Haryana, taking strict action against corruption, has arrested two employees of the electricity department red handed while taking bribe. The arrested accused include lineman Mukesh and clerk Sanjay. Both were caught taking bribe of Rs 20 thousand, which has created a stir in the department.

According to the information, Rajendra, a resident of Karnavas, had lodged a complaint with the ACB. It was told in the complaint that the electricity department employees were demanding a bribe of Rs 25,000 from him in exchange for reconnecting his electricity connection. After preliminary investigation into the complaint found the allegations to be true, the ACB planned action.

Under the scheme, the accused were called through the complainant. As soon as both the employees were taking the bribe amount, the ACB team reached the spot and arrested them red handed.

This action was taken under the leadership of ACB Inspector Ved Prakash in the presence of Duty Magistrate MI Kadha. ACB has registered a case against both the accused under the Anti-Corruption Act. At present, the interrogation of the accused is going on and the matter is being thoroughly investigated.
