Haryana News: Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini flagged off the race dedicated to Atal Jan Seva (Unwavering Public Service) organized by the soldiers of batch no. 93 of Haryana Police from Yavanika Park located in Sector-5, Panchkula. The race was organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who is an inspiring symbol of unity, discipline and the spirit of national service.

The Chief Minister said that this historic batch includes a total of 5,061 soldiers, of which 4,191 are men and 870 are women. Thus, 20.75 percent women participation has been ensured in this batch, which is an important achievement of the Haryana Government in the direction of women empowerment. He said that in the year 2014, women’s participation was only 3 percent, which has increased to more than 10 percent today. The government aims to increase it to 25 percent in the coming years.

He said that about 85 percent of the soldiers of this batch are graduates and post graduates.
