Haryana News: Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini flagged off the race dedicated to Atal Jan Seva (Unwavering Public Service) organized by the soldiers of batch no. 93 of Haryana Police from Yavanika Park located in Sector-5, Panchkula. The race was organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who is an inspiring symbol of unity, discipline and the spirit of national service.
New heights in women empowerment
The Chief Minister said that this historic batch includes a total of 5,061 soldiers, of which 4,191 are men and 870 are women. Thus, 20.75 percent women participation has been ensured in this batch, which is an important achievement of the Haryana Government in the direction of women empowerment. He said that in the year 2014, women’s participation was only 3 percent, which has increased to more than 10 percent today. The government aims to increase it to 25 percent in the coming years.
Role of soldiers in anti-drug campaign
CM Nayab Singh Saini said that the role of Haryana Police in the comprehensive campaign against drugs in the state has been highly commendable. Newly trained soldiers will work as brand ambassadors of this campaign to spread awareness in the society.

The Chief Minister said that this race is a testament to the successful completion of 39 weeks of rigorous training and is the beginning of putting into practice the values of policing and Karmayogi curriculum. In this race, 4,252 soldiers from rural background and 809 soldiers from urban background are marching together, which gives a strong message of social unity and harmony of Haryana.

He said that about 85 percent of the soldiers of this batch are graduates and post graduates. Of these, 2,390 soldiers are below 26 years of age, who will infuse new energy, modern approach and efficiency in Haryana Police. This race is not just physical activity, but yoga, P.T. And it is the result of self-confidence and discipline developed from training programs such as self-defense.
