CM Nayab Singh Saini has shown through the ‘Panchayati Land Ownership Scheme’ that the government understands the concerns of the poor and long-settled families. Earlier, the threat of demolition of the houses used to hang over these encroachers, but the Haryana Government has worked to bring stability in the lives of these families by giving them a permanent solution. This decision is not only just, but will also increase the income of the Panchayats.
Who can avail the benefit of this scheme?
This scheme is for those who have built houses on Panchayati land before March 31, 2004. Construction on land up to a maximum of 500 square yards will be regularized, provided that land is not on village roads, ponds, johads or any public use land. CM Nayab Saini’s government has made it clear that only old and valid occupations will be recognised.

Required conditions and documents for application
- Applicants must prove that the construction is before 2004.
- Construction should be done on 75% of the land.
- If the electricity meter was installed before 2004, its bills will have to be deposited.
- Panchayat and Gram Sabha proposal will be necessary.
- Information about collector rate of 2004 and current rate will also have to be given.
- The government will verify these documents with satellite photos and village maps before 2004.

How and where to apply?
Interested occupiers will have to submit their applications to the office of the Block Development and Panchayat Officer (BDPO). Last date is 15 January 2026. Applications will not be accepted after this date, so take advantage as soon as possible.
How to get ownership rights?
After verification, eligible applicants will get legal ownership of the land by paying one and a half times the 2004 circle rate. With this initiative of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, not only will the property of the villagers be safe, but they will also be free to buy and sell their land.
