Haryana News: On Friday, three miscreants riding a bike opened fire at the showroom of Pahal Nutrition (Supplement) located at Bahalgarh Chowk in Sonipat, Haryana, in broad daylight. The showroom glass was broken due to the bullet, but it was fortunate that no one suffered any loss of life. After the incident the accused fled from the spot. As soon as the information was received, police teams reached the spot and started investigation.
According to the police, three youths reached outside the showroom riding on a bike. Two youths stood outside, while one went inside. He threatened to shoot Ritesh Garg sitting at the reception. Ritesh immediately got up from the chair and ran backwards, which saved his life. After this the accused came out and opened fire. The three youths fled after committing the crime.
As soon as information about the incident was received, DCP Crime Vipin Kadian, ACP Vigilance Ajay Dhankhar, CIA Inspector and local police station reached the spot. Police have recovered an empty shell from the spot. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the forensic team was also called, which collected important evidence from the spot. Police have captured CCTV footage of the surrounding areas and special teams have been formed to search for the accused.
It is being told that about two months ago, a ransom of Rs 2 crore was demanded from showroom owner Virendra Pahal in the name of gangster Rohit Godara. There was also a threat of death if the ransom was not paid. Police are also investigating from this angle whether the firing incident is related to the same threat.
