Haryana: Food Inspector suspended in Haryana, orders to register case against 3 officers
Haryana News: During the Grievance Committee meeting held in Kurukshetra, Haryana, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Rajesh Nagar looked strict. Taking immediate action on the serious irregularities revealed in the meeting, he issued orders to suspend the Food Inspector. Along with this, instructions have also been given to register FIR against three officers including Inspector and Sub-Inspector.
On the instructions of the Minister of State, the matter was investigated by Ladwa SDM Anubhav Mehta. The investigation report revealed that departmental orders were disregarded and supplies from the depot were connected to remote villages against the rules.
Supply was connected to distant villages instead of nearby ones.
Depot holder Sonu Narang said in the complaint that in July and October, clear orders were issued by the Minister of State that the depots whose supply is stopped or suspended should be connected to the nearest depot. Despite this, Food Inspector Naveen Kumar connected the supply to far-off villages, due to which consumers had to face problems.
Wrong report given after complaint
Sonu Narang alleges that after the complaint, the inspector submitted a wrong report to the department claiming that the supply was connected from a nearby depot. Later this report also disappeared. Not only this, wrong reports were also submitted in the DC office while hiding the facts.
Depot in son’s name, father was operating it
Investigation also revealed that a depot of Ward-1 was in the name of Anshul Garg, who had gone to Italy with his family about 8 years ago. Despite this, his father Naresh Garg was operating the depot. After the complaint, the Inspector and Sub-Inspector got a written statement from Naresh Garg that his son has not gone abroad.
Revealed in SDM investigation
In the SDM investigation conducted on the instructions of the Minister of State, Naresh Garg retracted his earlier statement and accepted the truth. RTI also confirmed that Anshul Garg had gone abroad. After this, on the basis of the investigation report, the Minister of State ordered strict action.
