Haryana: Mothers of meritorious children in Haryana will also get Rs 2100, decision taken in the cabinet meeting.

Haryana Lado Luxmi Yojana: On the first day of the new year, many important decisions were taken in the Haryana Cabinet meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. After the meeting, CM Saini said that all the 6 agendas placed in the cabinet have been approved. The biggest decision among these has been taken regarding Lado Lakshmi Yojana, under which now the benefits of the scheme will also be available to those women whose children have secured more than 80 percent marks in class 10th or 12th.

The Chief Minister said that the aim of the government is to make women more economically empowered, hence the scheme has been expanded. This decision will directly benefit the mothers of thousands of meritorious students of the state.

What are the new changes in Lado Lakshmi Yojana?

CM Naib Singh Saini said that under Lado Lakshmi Yojana, now women whose children score more than 80 percent marks in 10th and 12th will also be given an assistance amount of Rs 2100. Apart from this, mothers who have brought their children out of the condition of malnutrition and anemia will also get benefits under this scheme.

Under the scheme, out of total Rs 2100, Rs 1100 will be given directly to the account of the female beneficiary, while Rs 1000 will be deposited by the government, which will be given along with interest. In case of untimely death of the beneficiary, this deposit amount will be immediately released to the nominee.

Till now 8 lakh women are getting benefits

The Chief Minister informed that so far 10 lakh 255 women have applied under Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, out of which about 8 lakh women are getting assistance. Verification of remaining applications is ongoing. Till now, the government has released assistance of about Rs 250 crore in two installments under this scheme.
