Haryana New District: Hansi becomes the 23rd district of the state in Haryana, Cabinet approves

Haryana New District: In the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, approval has been given to make Hansi a new district. With this decision, Hansi has now become the 23rd district of Haryana state. The government has given the green signal to this long standing demand at the cabinet level.

Earlier, the State Reorganization Committee constituted under the chairmanship of Development and Panchayat Minister Krishna Lal Panwar had given its approval for the formation of Hansi district in the meeting held on 9 December 2025 and sent its recommendation to the government. Later this proposal got the approval of the Chief Minister.

A total of 110 villages of Hansi and Narnaund assembly constituencies, which are currently part of Hisar district, will be included in the proposed district Hansi. After the formation of the new district, these areas will be separated from Hisar district. Two sub-divisions in district Hansi There will be Hansi and Narnaund.

Apart from this, three tehsils in the new district Hansi, Narnaund and Bas Hongi, while Kheri Jalab has been included as a sub-tehsil. Three blocks in the district under administrative system Hansi-1, Hansi-2 and Narnaund will be built.

The total geographical area of ​​the proposed district Hansi will be about 1,34,976 hectares and its estimated population is said to be about 5,40,994. With the formation of the district, the people of the area will get administrative facilities closer and development works are expected to accelerate.

Emergency meeting was called before winter session

Just a day before the winter session of the Haryana Assembly, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had called an emergency cabinet meeting. This meeting was held at the Chief Minister’s residence in Chandigarh. Before the cabinet meeting, a meeting of the legislative party was held, in which the Chief Minister discussed the questions to be asked by the MLAs and the strategy of the session.

Haryana BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli was also present in this meeting of the legislature party. After the meeting, a dinner was also organized by the Chief Minister for the MLAs and ministers.
