Haryana News: Haryana Government has taken a big step towards strengthening the digital identity of farmers. Registration of 1.38 crore farmers of Haryana will be done under Farmer Registry. This registration will be done through Aadhar card based OTP authentication process, through which a unique Farm ID will be generated for each farmer. Village-Village Special Campaign
Finance Commissioner of Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Sumita Mishra has given instructions to speed up this process. He has asked all the Deputy Commissioners to coordinate with the Revenue and Agriculture Departments to run special campaigns and organize registration camps at the village level. Sumita Mishra reviewed the progress of Farmer Registry and Digital Crop Survey (DCS) through video conferencing. Deputy Commissioner, District Revenue Officer and Tehsildar were present in this meeting.

Registration will be completed by February 2026
The Finance Commissioner gave clear instructions that both Farmer Registry and Digital Crop Survey should be compulsorily completed by February 2026. He said that to achieve this goal, focused outreach in rural areas and maximum farmer participation is extremely important.

Registration will be done through Aadhaar OTP
Describing this scheme as a ‘transformational initiative’ for farmers, Sumita Mishra said that Farm ID of 1.38 crore farmers will be created through Aadhaar OTP based authentication. This will ensure data accuracy, transparency and targeted delivery of benefits of government schemes. He said that accurate and timely data collection will further strengthen digital land records and crop records. Its direct benefits will be in the form of better targeting of agricultural schemes and faster, efficient and transparent delivery of benefits.

Will start from these districts
Sumita Mishra said that the registration process will be started in Ambala, Panchkula and Faridabad districts from Wednesday. After this it will be implemented in entire Haryana in a phased manner. This initiative of CM Nayab Singh Saini will strengthen the digital identity of farmers and will also ensure modernization of the agriculture sector in the state.
