Haryana News: Haryana Government has announced the dates for the procurement process of crops for Rabi marketing season 2026-27. The procurement of lentils will start from March 20 and will continue till April 30, while the procurement of mustard will start from March 28 and will continue till May 1. The procurement of gram will take place from 1st April to 10th May. Summer moong will be procured from May 15 to June 20 and sunflower will be procured from June 1 to June 30.
In the review meeting held in Chandigarh, Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi reviewed the procurement arrangements of mustard, gram, lentils, sunflower and summer moong under the Price Support Scheme (PSS). It was told in the meeting that an increase in the area and production of major crops has been recorded in the year 2025-26. Mustard production is estimated to be around 13.17 lakh tonnes. Sunflower production is likely to be 0.70 lakh tonnes, while gram and lentil production has also seen improvement. Summer moong production is also estimated to increase to 98 tonnes.
Expressing satisfaction over the better production estimates, the Chief Secretary directed the officials that the procurement process should be conducted in a timely and smooth manner, so that farmers can get remunerative prices without any delay. He also directed to spread wide awareness among farmers regarding Minimum Support Price (MSP) and procurement process.
According to the MSP fixed for the current season, the price of mustard has been fixed at Rs 6,200 per quintal, gram at Rs 5,875, lentils at Rs 7,000, sunflower at Rs 7,721 and summer moong at Rs 8,768 per quintal. The aim of the government is to ensure fair price to the farmers for their produce.
