Haryana STF action in Bihar, raid on former BJP leader’s residence, allegation of cheating

There was chaos in Ajnaul village under Dalsinghsarai sub-division of Samastipur district on Tuesday when a joint team of Haryana Police and Bihar STF raided the residence of former BJP district spokesperson Pankaj Kumar Lal. Since morning, due to the heavy presence of Haryana STF, Samastipur STF and local police station, there was an atmosphere of panic and curiosity in the entire village.
According to sources, this raid has been conducted in connection with a serious criminal case registered in Haryana, in which there is an allegation of cheating in the name of rupee doubling through fake notes and later committing robbery. According to the FIR, a person was duped into giving Rs 4 lakh instead of Rs 2 lakh. When the victim, lured by greed, made a transaction of money, he was robbed on the way.

Haryana STF took action
After Pankaj Kumar Lal’s name came up during the investigation of this entire matter, the agencies intensified the action. In this sequence, Haryana STF contacted Bihar STF and jointly raided Ajnaul village.
The team conducted a thorough search of Pankaj Kumar Lal’s house and completely cordoned off the surrounding area and secured it. Villagers say that during the action no outsider was allowed to go near the house. In view of security, additional police force remained deployed in the entire area.
Former district spokesperson of BJP
Pankaj Kumar Lal has previously been the district spokesperson of BJP, due to which this action has created a stir in political circles. Presently he is said to be involved in the business of supplying Rail Neer to the Railways. Apart from this, he also runs a rickshaw agency in Kalyanpur of Vibhutipur police station area.
According to the information, about two years ago he had purchased land in Ajnaul village and started construction of a grand house at a cost of more than Rs 3 crore, the work of which is still going on. After the raid, various types of discussions are taking place in the entire area. People are speculating whether some big network is working in this matter. The investigating agencies are also moving in the same direction and are busy investigating the role of other people associated with the alleged gang.

DSP confirmed
When asked about the matter, DSP Vivek Sharma confirmed the raid and said that this action has been taken as part of a joint investigation. However, he clarified that the investigation is still in the initial stage and detailed information related to the entire case will be made public only after the raid is completed. At present, this action of STF has created a stir not only in Samastipur but also in the political and administrative corridors of the state.
