Haryana: The world’s largest jungle safari park will be built in Haryana, mega project will be built in 10 thousand acres.
Haryana News: Haryana government is working on an ambitious project to take environmental protection and tourism to new heights. The world’s largest jungle safari park is set to be developed within the Aravalli mountain range in Gurugram and Nuh districts. This project is going to give a new dimension to wildlife conservation, natural beauty and adventure tourism in the state.
This jungle safari park will be built over a total area of 10,000 acres, making it the largest curated jungle safari park in the world. Currently, the Safari Park located in Sharjah, UAE is considered to be the world’s largest, which is spread over approximately 2,000 acres. This new park to be built in Aravalli will be five times bigger than that and will establish a unique identity at the global level.
There is also a plan to increase employment opportunities by involving local people with the project. The government will make the residents of the area aware about the importance of environmental protection and tourism. Also, under the home-stay model, new sources of income will be provided to local families, which will strengthen the rural economy.
Aravalli region is an important center of biodiversity. More than 180 bird species, 15 terrestrial animals, 29 aquatic animals and 57 types of butterflies have been recorded here in a recent survey. Development of jungle safari will play an important role in preserving this natural wealth and providing it safe habitat.
